Send a Net, Save a Life -Malaria is a disease caused by the blood parasite Plasmodium, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. Infected humans experience flu-like symptoms that can result in coma and death. The disease is particularly devastating in Africa, where it is a leading killer of children. In addition to being home to the deadliest strain of malaria and the mosquito best equipped to transmit the disease, many areas in Africa lack the proper infrastructure and resources to fight back.

Upcoming Events
  • Attention Youth - Disregard Puppet & Drama practice. Youth will meet at regular meeting times Sunday & Wednesday until camp.
  • Wednesday Evening – 7:00 PM – Prayer Meeting & Bible Study. Mission Friends, GAs, RAs, & Youth will also meet at this time.
  • WOM Meeting - Our ladies WOM meeting is Tuesday May 13 @ 7:00 PM. We will be fixing more packets for cancer patients. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, bring any small items you think they would enjoy. Some examples are sticky notes, gum, hard candy, tissues, book marks, conditioner, toothpaste, etc. This is an ongoing ministry so you may put your items in the copy room at any time.
  • 3rd Sunday Potluck - Sunday – May 18th after morning worship in the CLC building.
  • The Women of Worth Conference - Monday, May 19th. We will leave HBC at 5:00 PM to go to Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset. The cost is $25 if you did not pay earlier.
  • Spring Cleaning – anyone who didn’t get a chance to sign up to help with Spring Cleaning Chores, please see Aneita Boyle.
  • Rejoicing N Recovery – will meet again on Monday May 26th. at 7:00 PM in the CLC building. This group will meet every other Monday night.
  • Attention YOUTH Parents: Just a reminder that all money for camp needs to be turned in to Jamie or Nona by 05/18/2008. If you are paying by check, please make your check payable to Hustonville Baptist Church. See Jamie if you have any questions.
  • June 1-4 – Spring/Summer Revival with Bro. Randy McPheron.
  • Youth Camp - at Cedarmore! Week of June 9-13.
    • Pre-registration and Kickoff for VBS - VBS will be on Sat. June 14 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with Backyard Ministry. VBS June 16 – 22. See Jenny Burris if you’d like to purchase a VBS T-Shirt.
